The old folks' home, Lehtimajat is a landmark in the center of Oitti. This unique building contains  apartmentsfor those elderly citicens who need aid in household tasks and healthcare.

Healthcare services

Hausjärvi is a member of Riihimäki District Healthcare joint co-operation.  This organisation has been set up to provide healthcare services for Riihimäki, Hausjärvi and Loppi.

In Hausjärvi, GP surgeries, family planning- and maternity clinics are held in three villages, Oitti, Hikiä and Ryttylä.  Contact details together with telephone numbers can be found in Terveydenhuolto -section on Finnish language web pages (in Finnish only).

Hausjärvi local hospital is located in Oitti, in a modern building "Lehtimajat".  This hospital caters for long-term patients who are no longer able to cope living on their own as they require around the clock supervision and care.

In addition to the local hospital Oitti GP surgery is located in Lehtimajat purpose-built premises, which also house a laboratory and various clinics.  In addition, there is a luncheon restaurant for all occupants, municipality employees and other groups of people who have purchased luncheon vouchers either directly form the Council Offices or from their employer.  Facilities have also been set aside for Pensioner's clubs daily activity group, which also sells its products for the benefit of the club.

Dental surgery is located in separate building, not far from "Lehtimajat" building complex.
